My birthday is in a couple weeks and I'm going to celebrate by spending a couple of days in a city that I have dreamed of visiting FOREVER... New Orleans.
Yes. I'm so excited...I have never been but, all my favorite movies are filmed there...I have romanticized about this city forever...the colors, the sounds, the flavors, the people the art...I just feel like it's city for me. So today, I pulled together a post all about my romanticized notion of what I think New Orleans is all about...I'll let you know how correct I am or not when I return...

and food...Sigh. I can't wait. I'm not the biggest seafood fan...I know, New Orleans and not a seafood fan...why bother? Well, I will be eating things like frog legs...YUM! My dad was from St. Louis by way of Mississippi and he always ate strange food when I was a kid...strange by good. I'm an Aquarius baby, nothing scares me...the stranger the better.

I always wanted a sink that looks out into a window...this would work too...and check out the light fixtures that flank the mirror...I'm just saying, "perfect."
A bathroom dressed up to look like anything but a bathroom...I love the lamp, the rug and the initial in the shower. Who says a bathroom needed to look like a bathroom?

there are no words for how I feel about this room...especially that credenza! Sigh. I must have one...I'm sure I can find something at the thrift store that can be DIY'd in such a way...but, how would I get it to hang from the wall...my walls barely hold a picture frame. Sigh.

...So, I took my hair out...and I'm in need of a good warm weather, frizz proof style...this faux braided headband is perfect...Just braid a couple of strands of extension hair...secure it on both ends with rubber bands and wrap around your head...using hair pins to secure it to your head...I'll post a DIY video later today from one of my favorite fashion bloggers...stay tuned.
