No really. I should own this home. It's perfect for me and Mini.
It's actually a showhouse, designed by the husband and wife duo from YoungHouseLove blog. Well I recently came across their YouTube channel and had to share this video with you guys. They did an amazing job decorating this show house.
Decorating model homes and show homes would be my ideal job. I wonder if there are any openings in Georgia.
Happy Friday!
You guys know I like to manifest my destiny...and one way to do that is by posting images of things that I would like to have or experience.
This post is just another example of what's appealing to me today. Clean lines, simplicity in my clothing and home...well, as simple as a bohemian girl like myself willing to go anyway.
The draping and unfinished edges are right up my alley.
The graphic floor is everything.
The idea of a low dresser as a night stand...yes, and yes.
These chairs...sigh...drum shade, check...simple graphic artwork...give it to me.
This room from Architectural Digest has Bohemian Paradise all over it. Sigh.
The artwork is bananas! The fabric on the couch is lovely; think I'll try it on my sofa tonight. A mirror on top of a mirror; why not? Although the room is filled with different colors and textures that you wouldn't think naturally go together; just look how well it works. Don't be afraid to add anything you love into your environment. If you love it...it probably means it will play well with the things you already own.
This monochromatic room is so calming. Although, filled to the brim with large pieces...it just gives off a relaxed vibe. Don't be afraid to go big in your small space. Use items that are reflective, like glass, shiny ceramics or metals. They will all bounce light around and make your space fill bigger.
I want the Ethiopian Cross!
Where do I begin? A blue velvet sectional? I want! The glass table; must have. The Moroccan pattern rug? Yes, please.
This is the other side of the first room. Sigh. Brilliant.
I am knee deep in chaos here at the Soul Pretty Casa...Getting my home ready for the "nesting season"...this Monday is the first day of fall...and I would like to enjoy every bit of my favorite season without thinking about cleaning up...
So, as I continue to move things around and put things away...take out my winter curtains and clothes...put away summer things...I do occasionally suffer from creativity block...and when I do I usually look to the internet for inspiration. I came across this YouTube channel during one of those moments...It's called L.E.A.F. it stands for living, eating and fashion. What's better than that? Nothing in my book...any who...Go ahead and explore their channel...and have a great weekend.
Live the life you dream about...I dare you.
Live the life you dream about...I dare you.
As most of you already know, I put up a horizontal privacy wall on my terrace last year. This is not it. If you want to read all about it click here. This is an image of how I would love to decorate my terrace this year. I recently purchased very similar furniture from IKEA. Now if I can just get the terrace cleaned off...
Oh, sigh...I would love to vacation here...not live here...just vacation. Too white.
This is perfection. A hammock. I have wanted a hammock since I was a little girl...someday.
My current terrace situation is not big enough for this...one day.
Now this is more like my terrace in size and furniture...I could do this.
Okay. Yes. I'll talk it all. The stone floors...the stone pots for plants...and don't even get me started on that bench and table...I will leave it up to the thrift gods.
The wall we built on my terrace is similar to this one...How cute.

Okay...Yes. Now we are thinking. Can you image a retractable terrace. Well of course you can I just showed you one...lol. Genius.
Okay...where do i begin? The vertical garden...trendy, but I don't care...I love it. Painted furniture on the terrace...yes, yes, and yes...I will have it.
More painted furniture...this isn't technically a terrace...more of a sunroom...but, I love the eclectic, collected feel of the space.
Trees on the terrace. It's a yes. And NYC is giving away free trees...and I got too. Granted they are small...more like bushes...but, they grow really fast...and I'm patient.
Here is the link to get your own free tree. Don't say I never gave you guys anything...lol.
Yes. Zen, Ethnic, Glam...that's me. I'll take it.
...and last but not least...I know some of you are wishing you had an outdoor space. Well, I'm posting this pic to inspire you. No matter how small...your space can be beautiful. Who wouldn't want to sit out here and talk on the phone, check their instagram or just read blogs...I know I would. It's not the size of your space...it's the size of your imagination.
There you have it. How I'd like to live today...If I could just clear all the clutter from my terrace. Stay tuned.
Live the life you dream about. I dare you.
