Sweet 16

by - July 23, 2012

Hey guys, so last weekend was Mini's Sweet 16 Party!
I'm just doing a quick post of the few pics that I had a chance to take...I was so busy running around...trying to keep things on schedule...I really didn't get a chance to take a lot of photos...As I collect more photos from others I'll post them here...All in all it was a spectacular day...a day Mini and I will never forget.
Mini's pom-pom decorated chair...

...card box...I'll post a tutorial on how I made this in a couple of day...

....more decorations...I recycled the box my Ikea sofa came in to make these numbers...I used the same paint that was used to paint my entrance wall...

I made this sign from recycled cardboard, paint and glitter...

Mini's candy bar was a big hit!  Tutorials later this week on how I made all the decorations on the bar...

...wide shot of the room after my cousin and I decorated...No balloons were used...just paper.

I made the initials from a recycled sofa box...the centerpieces were made simply too...No money was spent on decorations...just time and vision...tutorials coming this week...you can do it too...

...this is the candelabra I made for Mini's candle lighting ceremony...Mini's words were very moving and heartfelt...I have to get my hand on the video...

I found this at the dollar store...yep...gotta love the dollar store.

...centerpiece...

Mini's girls helping her get dressed...

Mini and her court...we took a couple of quick photos outside before going to the party...the weather was PERFECT!  The young lady in the black and white dress was not in the court...she is my friends daughter...they came all the way from Florida for the party...

My Mini...

Mini and her court...too cute...just a great bunch of beautiful young ladies...

Mini and mommy...

two of Mini's best friends...Mini told the girls they could wear any dress they wanted as long as it was blue...I made the purple feather fascinators for their hair...tutorial on that later this week.

Mini's cake being assembled with a little extra help...lol.
OMG!  The little kids were too cute...danced all night...and they loved everything...Mini wanted all her friends and family at the party...including all of her little cousins...

a quick shot of her friends at the party...

...My brother in law and my niece...

...the dj and guest...

Mini's girls wearing the sunglasses we gave away as a party favor.

Mini and her God brother...and best friend...wearing her 3rd dress for the night...

Mini's shoes and crown...we did the whole changing of shoes and tiara...I'll try and locate a video of the evening to post later...
Whew!  I'm tired...Mini's away at camp this week and I'm going to recharge.
