In the photos...my mom, my dad and my great-grandfather
...remember the pedestals I found trashed...and then painted white? ...I was playing around and turned them into a table...I put my old IKEA antonius table top on top of the pedestal and viola, a beautiful new buffet table...Now, I won't be using it this year...no holiday cooking for me...but I did have fun setting the scene...
A nice way to remember those who have passed on is to add a few small photos of them to the buffet table...as well as art...it just adds a little whimsy and will get your guest talking.

ReplyDeleteoh lord. i was at a--i guess--semi formal event last month and had to recall my very, very brief stint as an AKA debutante and our "manner courses" waaay back in the day to try and remember all this place setting stuff.
