Fall Fashion - Layer Up

Fall is in full swing in NYC...and I need these items in my wardrobe.
There is something about this scarf that I like...I think it's the shape...It's different...and it looks really warm.  Just may make one.

Nothing beats all black everything.  Classic.  Why not wear a belt around your old wool coat for an instant update?

The key to being chic and warm this fall is all in how you layer.
I think this image is styled perfectly.
Tights, booties, jumper dress, faux fur infinity scarf and don't forget your long sleeve turtle neck.

Bohemian Dreaming...and How I'd Love to Live Today.

This room from Architectural Digest has Bohemian Paradise all over it.  Sigh.
The artwork is bananas!  The fabric on the couch is lovely; think I'll try it on my sofa tonight.  A mirror on top of a mirror; why not?  Although the room is filled with different colors and textures that you wouldn't think naturally go together; just look how well it works.  Don't be afraid to add anything you love into your environment.  If you love it...it probably means it will play well with the things you already own.

This monochromatic room is so calming.  Although, filled to the brim with large pieces...it just gives off a relaxed vibe.  Don't be afraid to go big in your small space.  Use items that are reflective, like glass, shiny ceramics or metals.  They will all bounce light around and make your space fill bigger.
I want the Ethiopian Cross!

Where do I begin?  A blue velvet sectional?  I want!  The glass table; must have.  The Moroccan pattern rug?  Yes, please.

This is the other side of the first room. Sigh.  Brilliant.

Classic Fall Wardrobe Staple - The Camel Coat

I recently thrifted one of falls most classic fashion pieces...THE CAMEL COAT.
What makes the camel coat a fall fashion staple is it's versatility.  Here you will find a few examples of how adding this coat to your closet can update your look for almost any occasion.
The Classic Camel Coat can be worn CASUALLY...as styled here...rolled boyfriend jeans, classic cable knit sweater and ballet flats.  Keep your bag simple...and tortoise shades.

Another way to style a Classic Camel Coat is still CASUAL just with a little EDGE...think Hipster...and NO, I don't think its a bad word.  Just add a white button down shirt with super tight skinny jeans and a funky boot...Viola.

For a more CLASSIC look.  Wear it all button up with an animal print bag or shoes...staple classics in your wardrobe.

Why not go SEXY, GLAM?...skinny leather leggings...classic pumps, clutch and don't forget the classic red lips.   This look would look just as pulled together with a short or mid length leather pencil skirt.

Now you see why I believe the CLASSIC CAMEL COAT is a win, win for any girls wardrobe.
