Today is the birthday of one of my best friends.  We meet while working at Time Inc...many, many, moons ago.  When we were just two mom's with small kids...We would go out to lunch and dream about how her and her husband could move their kids to a safer, more beautiful environment...(she is now living in Florida, has finished her degree and is about to be an assistant principal) and I would dream about how I could keep my daughter alive...quitting my job seemed like the only option (my Mini is now CURED...and I have not had to work a traditional job since leaving Time Inc.)...those were long lunches...2.5 hours sometimes...It was like that at Time Inc.  One of the best places I've ever worked...Just not for the best people...

Anywho...My girlfriend and I would go to this afterwork club on Friday nights...first, we'd stop by our favorite Mexican spot, where she would charm the waiter out of free shots of pineapple tequila...sigh.  Then we would be off to the spot, singing in the streets of manhattan...feeling no pain...and believe me, there was lots of pain...I remember walking into the club and this song was playing and we just lost it...came in the club partying...

So, C this is for you, baby birthday lady...We did it!  GOD is good...Let's dream about what's next...our best days are ahead of us...
