I have "hoarder" tendencies...
...yes. I do. sigh.
This friday finds me claiming my truth and clearing my clutter. It's my bedroom you see...it's over run with non-sense...remember when I said, "I'm not a shoe whore?"yeah right...more on that next week...
For now...let's just look at a couple of inspirational, small bedrooms...tiny, bedrooms...
I have what could be considered a sizable bedroom for NYC...and still I can't seem to figure out how to live graciously in it...
and obviously these people have...
this is one of my favorite...this room is devoid of any built in character...yet, character was created with a paint treatment...
...okay, I can't...is this a boat?
I heart everything about this space...the black wall and white bedding are perfection...as well as the one long shelf which houses all the rooms necessities...
now, this room is a little larger...but, not by much...the doors instead of windows add much needed light...and I'm a sucka for covered end tables...
...perfect for the student in your life...how did they get the desk in this room...genius.
again...color makes all the difference...
I've posted this room before...love it...love it so much I actually copied something from it for my room...more on that next week.
and last but not least...create the illusion of windows and soften up the space by placing curtains on the wall behind your bed...just a little weird that they didn't put the same drapes on the window...but, they do have a blind up. I guess hanging drapes would be in the way.
Okay...enough procrastination...I'm off to tackle the rest of my mess...Have a great weekend...and thanks for reading...Soul Pretty.

I love the room with the curtains placed behind the bed.
ReplyDeleteThanks sunnseeker...they are pretty...and you know I love textiles.
DeleteThese are all gorgeous spaces! I haven't had a pretty bedroom since I got married. Actually, since my husband moved in as my boyfriend years ago. :( He doesn't put *anything* in a closet. Shoes, hats, clothes baskets, and a collection of water cups litter his side. It is far from a sanctuary. I'm at a loss what to do. It's so wonderful sleeping in a nice place! I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss it.
ReplyDeleteHi Lesley Jean,
DeleteI can't really feel your pain...lol. I have never lived with anyone, except Mini...and of course my family growing up...and growing up with 5 brothers and sisters, 2 parents and 2 dogs in a two bedroom, one bathroom house...sigh...keeps me from sharing my space with anyone...whenever a significant other gets too comfortable...I get anxious and that's usually the end of that relationship...but, I'm working on it...hang in there...
Live the life you dream about...I dare you.
