Rememeber when I thrifted this little beauty?
Well, you know how starting one project leads to another?
That is exactly what happened when I finished hacking my Ikea Rast Dressers.
I decided to recover this stool.
Now, if I can just decide which fabric to use...hum?
I finished building my IKEA Rast dressers...
...took quite a bit of elbow grease...
...but, I got it done
...and they look great!
Can't wait to see them all set up and tricked out...
So far, the only tricking I've done was to place drawer liners in the bottom of each...luv!
Stay tuned for the big reveal...
I'd love to sleep here...that wall paper is real...My own bedroom is almost there...I recently picked up two rolls of removable wallpaper from HomeGoods...Can't wait to put it up...and did I mention it's removable...?
I making a video on all my recent finds...coming next week.
Sigh...
I'd love to go to a cocktail party with interesting people and food...Yum.
...I think you guys have seen this image before...I just love everything about it...even the painted paneling...
1. chilled to music on Pandora
2. mini did last minute homework...a week of winter break is over...back to school today.
3. sold this on my Etsy site...YEAH!
4. began working on the RAST dresser from IKEA...easy.
5. got surprise flowers for my birthday...smile.
6. mixed a couple different stains to come up with this color...
7. ate salad
8. and baked chicken
...my car is on the road
and Ikea was calling...
I have wanted to do this project since before Thanksgiving...
I was fortunate enough to receive some cash for my b-day...and you know how fast cash can burn a hole in your pocket...
So, before that happened...I made a bee-line to my happy place to spend my b-day money on ME!
...and look what I got...
...well, actually I got three...
...I will work out my imagination this weekend...
...if it doesn't rain...sad face.
I want to make a console table for my living room t.v.
I thought Ikea's RAST dresser would be perfect...
It's just $34.99 each...with 3 drawer of storage in every dresser...
...Now, they are not the biggest or strongest dressers...but, they are solid pine and Mini won't be storing any jeans in there...if you know what I mean...just papers...remotes...Wii games...etc.
Here are just a few examples of the IKEA Rast hacks from the web...
Stay tuned while I recreate my own...
and thank you to everyone who showed me so much love on my birthday and made this idea come to life...
Have a great weekend!
...my car is back on the road...YEAH!

...followers of my blog know that my interior design style can be described a few ways...boho, eclectic, tribal...
But, don't let that fool you.
I can appreciate a very traditional/casual space as well...
...every now and then I even want to live in one...mostly when I'm on vacation...
It's kinda of like when people say, "I love to visit NYC...but, I could never live there"...
Yeah, I feel the same way about traditional/casual spaces...nice to visit...but, couldn't live there...
...the following rooms just may be the exception to my rule...
Today is National Donor Day...
A day to celebrate all the heros who donate organs, blood, bone marrow, etc. to those in need...
What a great day to celebrate Love...
I can say that Mini and I have experienced, Real Unconditional Love...
I blogged about it over here on Mini's blog...
Mini...3 years ago...in transplant.
Scars and all, can't dull this shine...my hero.
