Got Stale Bread?

by - January 03, 2014

...It snowed last night...I'm not going out...and I'm hungry...but, I don't have many options...what's a girl to do? Make bread pudding of course...
Now this is kinda a dump recipe.  No true measurements...but, you can do it...this is what you need.

1/2 loaf of stale/old bread (not moldy..throw that out)
1 cup of milk
2 eggs (beat)
1/2 cup of sugar
3 tsp of melted butter (melt on stove or in microwave)
2 small apples - diced
about 1/2 cup of raisins
1/2 tsp of vanilla
1 tsp of cinnamon (more if you really like cinnamon)
a pinch of salt

tear your bread into pieces...place in a large bowl
in another bowl, mix together all the other ingredients together...
Now, dump that over the bread...and mix...until all the bread is wet...
Now, dump that into a greased baking pan...smash it down a little...sprinkle a little sugar on top and bake.
Put it in the oven at 375 degrees for about 45 minutes
Remove...let cool about 15 minutes...sprinkle with powdered sugar and eat!
YUM!
