I did it...

by - October 05, 2012

...this is just a little something I picked up a while ago while thrifting...Mini has been using it in her bedroom at her desk.  We recently found the perfect desk chair while thrifting...so, now this little beauty needs a new home...and a new look.

...we toyed with the idea of painting it...I'm so glad we didn't...

...I decided I could use it in my bedroom...not really, but where the heck else is it going?  I don't want to get rid of it...you all know I never meet a chair I didn't love.

...I already had this fabric hanging around...I think it was once a wrap skirt...

...On a DIY scale of 1 to 10...with 10 being the hardest, this job is a two...I even reused the nails...

...I folded the fabric around the seat...just like wrapping a present...nail to hold and viola.

 ...four screws later...

 ...doesn't it look soooo Anthropologie?

...Adore

I adore the way the paint is a little chip-pie...
...the details are very feminine...with touches of gold...
...you just don't see furniture like this anymore...and I'm always looking at furniture, new and old...and this type of detail is rare today...
love.

Did you catch a glimpse of my new bedroom drapes in the photos above?  The room is really coming together...
