WEIRDEST thing ever! i just only seconds ago finished Waris's book, Desert Flower, and came up here to look her up on the internet. liya is probably my favorite person in the world. so that top pic about killed me when i scrolled onto it. freakin aye.

I read an article about her some years ago and oddly enough just finished writing a blog about human trafficking. Not her story, but wow. Apparently it's the time of year our thoughts turn to others. Thank you for posting this.
