...I've never been one of those people who believes our youth are doomed...and so is our future...I believe every generation goes through their ups and down and the ones who make into adulthood will thrive just as every other generation has done before them...people complain about their music, the watch too much t.v., wear their pants low, dress too sexy or grown, they're loud and they curse too much (well, that bothers me too) etc...etc...yeah, they do all of that and they do this too...lovely...keep inspiring the babies...everything will be o.k....it's just human nature.
I used to wear my hair like this (and Mini too) all the time...Hum, think I'll try it again...
OPENING CEREMONY...My latest source of inspiration.
More here...
...You know I'm not a shoe whore...(I'm a chair whore...never saw a chair I didn't want to take home) I rarely get excited when looking at shoes...I have been wearing the same shoes for a few years now...drives Mini crazy...and then when I do see a shoe that excites me, it looks like this....sigh...or like every other shoe on their site...LUV
...So, Mini's class had a brownie fundraiser for Haiti on Friday...all the parents in the class (all 8 of us) were asked to bake brownies and the class would sell them for $1.50 a pop. Well, they raised $495.00 bucks....YEAH! Now the local newspaper wanted to come interview the kids today, Monday...the same day Mini had her yearly MRI scheduled...UGH! Being the Leo that she is...there is no way she was going to miss her chance to be in the newspaper...So I was tasked with changing an almost impossible appointment with the MRI department so that Mini could make it to school in time for the interview...She ended up taking the MRI this morning at 7:30 a.m....UGH! Monday, in the pouring rain storm...nice...and the beat goes on...MOM, turned upside down still spells, WOW. Mini better make it into the paper...smile.
...So, yesterday was one of the most amazing days in my career...Yep, amazing. I landed a job designing the new office of one of today's biggest recording artist...Yep, big, major...I hate to go all hollywood on you guys....but, I can't mention his name...just trust me, it's major...when I left the meeting in the Emerald City this theme song was playing over and over in my head...I remember watching the Mary Tyler Moore show as a kid and dreaming of what my life would be like...and now as I watch the video today I know, I'm gonna make it after all....Stay tuned.
Oh, my luv hate relationship with this city continues...as I jammed to this song when I got home...It's my new theme song...
"Concrete jungle where dreams are made of...there's nothing you can't do...these lights will inspire you..."

One of the most amazing soul singers of our time has passed away...after a journey with many twists and turns...I think you could say that most of the baby's born in the 80's were conceived while their parents listened to this man's music...He drove my aunt's and cousins wild ...This is one of my favorite song of his...but, there are many, many more...
The Artist is Steven Lopez - www.ikeepmoving.com
One of my most favorite songs in the World...Luv.
I luv when we get to see the artist in their own words...not just the gossip that surrounds most successful artist...
I'm inspired to continue to work on my piece...It's hanging in Mini's room right now...but, stay tuned...I'm inspired...
...After watching what's going on in Haiti, I'm even more convinced that every family should own a tent...just in case...like insurance, you never know...I used to have this conversation with my mom and she thought I was crazy...wonder what she would think now?
This is a 12 person, lighted tent...get it here, $245.00 bucks
