My Trip to ABC Carpet and Home

Last weekend I stopped by one of my favorite stores, ABC Carpet and Home...this store is amazing and not to be missed if you ever visit NYC...9 floors of every furniture style you can imagine...and they don't mind if you take photos...Take a look at what inspired me on my visit...

Oh, I just went to their website and you can shop online or just be inspired...amazing.

Lovely...inspiration.

I'm always impressed with beading...I just can't imagine working with something so small.
...One would be perfect in a nursery...

...Oh, so cool and simple...you know I'm making one for my kitchen...over the table.

...wouldn't I just love to own this piece...?

...this store has every style of furniture and home furnishings...Luv.

My feelings about Thanksgiving this year...

..I haven't always felt this way about Thanksgiving, but after the year that I have had I'm in a retrospective mood...What's it all about? Usually I just enjoy the holidays...don't put much deep thought into it...but this year it's different.

My New Venture...

Home Staging...
Interior Design is my passion and helping people in need is also a passion...I recently had a chance to combine both...I staged a home for sale...it sat on the market for a couple of months and after my make-over, the next person to see it, bought it...Yeah!
So I'm announcing the opening of Soul Pretty Home Staging
If you own a property or represent a property in the NYC Tri-State area that's not selling and is in need of a make-over...feel free to contact me, at DBMORE@hotmail.com and for a very reasonable flat rate I'll turn your property from unsellable to sold in no time...
Below is just an example of what staging can do...

I know what your thinking, "what's wrong with this room?" nothing if you live there, but if your trying to sell it...it needs to look like this...
I know, big change...and where did all that new furniture come from, it's rented...O.k., so now you have an idea of the magic of staging...
Watch a stager in action on HGTV...

luv, luv, luv the bedframe...

My bff just won and ebay auction for a suzani blanket...around $65.00 bucks...check out this auction on Ebay to get your own.

I'm taking donations...

I'm dreaming about....

Before and After DIY

Mini and I made this table with the help of her dad...the top is an old Ikea desk top...we went to home depot, purchased a 2x4, cut it into four legs, stained them and attached them to the bottom of table using screws and glue. Then we broke-up some old tile I had around the house and created this mosiac pattern....
...I tired of the pattern recently and decided to create what I call a "table cozy"...It softens the table and I really like it...and you know how much I like to change things and this can now change to suit my mood...

Mini doing homework or is she chillin, with feet up on the old table...?

Very Sexy..

I luv the photo hanging over this bed...so sexy and relaxing

I have this image...I think it needs to be blow up and hung over my bed...Hum, on second thought, maybe not...it could be a little intimidating to my guests....smile.

NYC can be rude...

...while at the farmers market on Saturday, this couple was trying to take a picture with their baby...but,

...everytime he got ready to take the shot, this coffee man/woman jumped in front of the shot...too funny. Check out the look on the womens face in the first picture.

...I loved the colors of this celery root...

...Mini is with her dad this weekend. So, after I sneak out to the farmers market in the early morning, I'm going to come home, turn on pandora.com , put together a station with some Spike Lee type jazz music and dye, cut and sew...I will have new products in my Etsy shop on Monday...
