No project is too big...

by - October 12, 2011

...So, my lovely toaster wasn't the only thing I picked up last week.  I finally got my dining chairs too...I was on my way home from the thrift store...when I decided, reluctantly, to stop by another thrift store.   I didn't want too...I really didn't want to spend anymore money...for some reason there I was pulling into the parking lot, just for a peek.  When what did I see?  A man taking these chairs out of his car to donate.  What?  Those look like the chairs I've been looking for for months.  I had to have them.

This is how it all went down:

ME:  Hey, how you doing?  Are you donating those?
HIM:  Yep?
ME:  Can I have them?
HIM:  I don't care...take em...I'm just trying to get them out of my house.
ME:  Doing the happy dance as I put 4 FREE chairs into my car.

Now if that's not a manifest wednesday story for ya, I don't know what is...I went out looking for chairs, found a toaster instead...was heading home not wanting to spend more money...something told me to check out one more spot...and waiting right there for me...free chairs.  The chairs I wanted.
I don't know about you but, I'm about to dream bigger.  Smile.

Okay, the seat covers are funky...eeww.  But the bones are great...It's gonna take a lot of elbow grease to get these puppies ready for prime time...But you guys know I'm up for the challenge.  Stay tuned.
