Weekend in review...
So...let me just give you guys a quick update on what went on around here this weekend...
I told you I would be working on my terrace this weekend...and I did...just not as much as I hoped...
...You see...Mini sprung a surprise school performance on me this weekend...apparently, her school planned to take all the singers from the school play out to the Botanical Gardens to perform at the Intergenerational Garden...Yeah...Saturday...we had to be there at 9 am...It was hot as heck...and I was not prepared...
...this young lady was prepared...she wore the cutest summer dress...I just had to get a photo of the back...ideas for my...uhmp...maxi dress...remember that...?
...you gotta love teenagers...just look at how they are looking at Mini and her partner...lol.
...bored much kids?
...no they are so cute and kind...I love these kids.
...ah, yeah...we had a sugar buffet...
...just look at how many cookies Mini had on her plate...and yep...she ate them all...
Now, back to my terrace...
...after much rest from the heat...I got back to my terrace...See those screws? Well, I didn't like looking at them...So, off to Home Depot I went and picked up 3 additional 1"x4" to put over the screws for a cleaner more finished look...
...ah yes...that's better...and I picked up a gallon, sigh of weatherproofing deck and fence stain for just $7.00 from the opps paint section...it was already tinted...
...so I got busy re-staining the fence with it...I L.O.V.E. how it turned out...
...on to the rest of this non-sense...yeah. UGH! That's Mini's old headboard...soon to be back in her room...
This may take longer than I thought...I had to clean the floors...clean the rug...find another area to store all this ...
...and remember that day bed I was dreaming of making out of Mini's old headboard...
Ah, yeah not...after pricing all the components needed to make that happen...I decided to bring back my old trusty love seat...don't you love it...?
I have had it for over 10 years...must of those years on the terrace...being lovingly faded by the sun...It's still good and strong...and it will do another year.
nice...they don't make furniture like this anymore...smile.
I also made my way to the nursery for their 50% off sale...I pick up so much stuff...and spent just $38.00...WOO HOO...Here's a sneak peek...I did get them planted last night...and they look really happy this morning...
...this is how the terrace stands right now. Making progress...but, it's supposed to be 90 degrees in the NYC today...and my living room air conditioner is not working...UGH! I'm waiting on the repair man to fix it...sweating. Stay tuned.

ReplyDeleteI kind of love the loveseat. Especially with all the flowers and the awesome privacy blinds! Its definitely a piece Anthro would try to sell you with some nice pillows on it for $900.
