Weekend in review...

by - June 02, 2010

I was invited to a Bar-B-Que on Sunday and I bought the macaroni salad and the mint for Mojitos...I had such a good time sitting around eating and drinking with family and old friends from the neighborhoods...

The next day I headed to Chelsea with a friend...
...this is my new favorite area of NYC...
Years ago it was a desolate, drug and prostitute haven...today it's a shoppers paradise...and this is my favorite place to visit...not necessarily shop...it's quite expensive...but it is a perfect way to spend the afternoon in the NYC and that's exactly what I did this memorial day weekend...
...check it out, they recently opened my favorite store...

...so many cool restaurants...

...the brownies in this shop...OHHHH, so good...and they have a website...check it out

I like the display in this store...old crates piled on top of each other...so clever...I believe it was a butcher shop...

...the entire mall smelled like fresh bread, butter and sugar...bring your willpower ladies...YUm!

It's a very unique (well, for NYC) mall...there aren't many malls in Manhattan. Okay ladies, this is the type of spot where you can get everything you need for preparing that special meal...and I do mean everything...already prepared and ready to impress...

...cupcakes...need i say more?

...How about a trip to morocco? No plane ticket needed...

...just a taxi.

Oh, you know I had sushi for lunch...YUM!

...this is my dream store, SHOP 202 , you can eat and drink in the front and shop (very expensively, a candle was $78 bucks) in the back...don't worry...it doesn't cost anything to look and be inspired...too cool.

...and when you all done at the mall...just walk three blocks to the latest New York hot park...the Highline (they have a great blog too)...take a seat and enjoy the view...and most of this (besides food...which is reasonable in the mall) can be done without spending a dime...Gotta luv NYC.
