Just a little re-cap from last night...

by - May 07, 2010

...So, last night I attended Design on a Dime Event 2010 hosted by Housing Works...only on word can describe it...FABULOUS! I was so honored to be invited...I took so many photos and video...you gotta give me a couple of days to get the video together...

If you are in the New York City area...and you are a design freak like me...you must go over to 125 W. 18th Street and check out this sale...every item pictured is up for sale...at very, very, very reasonable prices...today and tomorrow only.

I loved this sofa...just $300. bucks...

Jacquelin Smith of Charlie's Angel fame has a line of home furnishings coming out for Kmart/Sears that you will not believe...the quality, the trend and the price can't be beat...I can't wait...

...the dress forms were in a room decorated by an MTV set designer...I had to have one...just $35.00 bucks...

...I was feeling so good after the show...I stopped and picked up cupcakes for Mini...they looked much better than they tasted...

...that's my dress form trying to get home on the bus...lol. Good thing it's New York...no one even blinked an eye while I walked the street with this thing...a couple people stopped to ask where I got it...and how can they get one? That's New York for you, everyones always trying to find out how they can be down...

...I thought it was cool the way they placed the initial on the couch...

...this room was done by Kmart...loved it...they are coming out with a new line of bedding for camp and college in June...

I met Mr. Ty Pennington from Extreme Home Makeover fame...he has an amazing line coming out for Sears...everybody's doing it.

...this was part of Jacqeulin Smith's room...that zebra chair will be available at Sears/Kmart for $95.00 bucks...and I loved the clever way they fashioned the shelving into a closet....Hum, Mini's room?

...The art was amazing and like I said, "everything is for sale...everything...at unbelievable prices." Get over there on your lunch break or after work...If that's not enough to get you over there...just know that ALL proceeds go to help house low-income people living with HIV and AIDS in a home they can be proud of...So spend, spend, spend...while you give, give, give...
