D.I.Y. Project
My new labels...I used 100% cotton t-shirts, cut it into squares and wrote Soul Pretty using a Clorox Bleach Pen...let it sit and soak in for about 20 minutes...then rinse in cold water...I really like the way they turned out...and it was so easy...

I bought this frame from Home Goods...The leaf pictured below was in the frame...I just took the pliers and pulled the clips off the back of the frame, tore out the leaf picture and popped in my image..."The Warrior". It's perfect...all this style for $15.00 bucks.

Soul Pretty
Pamela Anderson of Baywatch fame was on t.v....talking about how she doesn't have a nanny or housekeeper....What?! She maintains her home all by herself...she mentioned that her mom did it while waitressing so why can't she do it...LUVed that. Women like Pamela are my alter ego, over the top sexuality, always made up and flirting...but, somehow they always seem to handle their business...So that got me thinking...what would Pamela wear to pick-up her boys from a soccer game?...So I made these tops, inspired by Pamela Anderson...Get yours here.

Today...
...So, Mini's good and off to school today...tomorrow she has a class trip to Philadelphia, she is so excited...(smile). I finally have a day without a doctors visit...and I feel like sh*&! I think I picked up some kind of bug in the hospital...UGH! I really need to get started making products to sell for a big show that I'm doing on December 7th...I wanted to post about it today, but never mind...Mini got an invitation to an open house for a school that she really wants to go to for Jr. High...so, I better drag myself outside and have the paperwork notarized for my attorneys to get on it...other than that, I think this day's a bust...Mini and I came up with a new statement, "consumed"...lol...that's how I feel today, I feel consumed...

...Last Night
...mini did well yesterday...even though she was so nervous which is really out of character for her...she told me later that she was nervous because biopsy was one of her vocabulary words last year and she knows what it means...I let Mini sleep with me last night...she loved that...I did not, that girl is wild in the bed...So now I'm up at a ridiculous hour posting bedrooms...Thanks again to everyone as we wait for her results...

...update...
...Mini got all pumped up with a blood transfusion today...she will have her biopsy tomorrow...thank you all for your well wishes...we feel them and know everything will be fine...
...On a exciting note, I got a new client this weekend...YEAH! A remodel of a basement turned into master suite (living/bedroom/bathroom) for the nicest couple...and the best part is, they want me to work my magic...it's a blank slate and it's all mine...lol...can't wait.

AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL
I have so many thoughts running threw my mind...I am feeling overwhelmed with pride and honor....In my life America has been like that family member that you love...you know they can be some much more, do so much better...they are given so many opportunities to rise but, they continue to disappoint you over and over and then finally, finally they come through...and SHINE.

When the electorial count was coming in and Obama had 170 to McCains 95, Mini made this statement, "trying to stop him (Barack) from winning is like trying to stop yourself from going down the sliding board".
We switched to Fox news after hearing on TVOne that Fox didn't have an electorial college map up like every other news channel, and Mini said, "this channel is too confusing." I said, it's their job to be confusing...to which Mini said...they're good at it".
Mini fell asleep before the actual announcement...When I awoke her, she sat up and said, "we whooped them like butter and cheese!"
...Mini never seems to amaze me with her understanding of the world...

...Mini and I worked the phone bank in our community...calling registered voters in Pennsylvania...Nothing crazy to report...most people were for Obama...YES!
...meet our Congressman, Gregory Meeks...he pumped up the crowd and invited everyone back for an election results party on Tuesday night...also learned that his district office is offering FREE forclosure help, every wednesday, from 1pm - 5pm...with lawyers, bankers, etc. Contact his office if you need help.
...Sunday morning, turned Mini onto biscuits and honey...I think I've created a monster...smile.
